In practice this means doing lots of low intensity activities, getting healthy amounts of medium intensity activity, for example 30-50 mins of brisk walking, but only a small amount of high intensity activity.

How often should I have a Recovery Day? Recovery time looks at the amount of recovery days. The recommended amount of recovery days is 1 to 2 days per week. Recovery days are generally recommended to avoid overtraining and injuries, and to allow muscle recovery and neural system recovery.
